Taurus Parent, Scorpio Parent

The need for security
The two of you seem quite different on the surface, but you both have a strong need for security and this will be the prime motivation in the way you parent together. Not just financial security, either, although that will be important. You both strive to form deep, stable relationships with your children, and here is where you'll find the emotional security you seek.

The Taurus parent is much easier to read. You're simple, straightforward and earthy. Your love of nature and the great outdoors can't be denied, so you'll be the one to organise picnics and bike rides.
The Scorpio mum or dad is more of a mystery, private and closed. Be clear about your feelings and expectations so your children have a clue as to what you want from them. Otherwise, they'll be shooting in the dark to please you.

Taurus Parent, Gemini Child

Different energies
Your little Gemini is a whirlwind of energetic curiosity. First he's here, then he's there, and everything he sees delights him. What a happy, bright-eyed child. And how tiring it can be to keep up with him! Yes, you're both good-natured, but you are mellow and inclined toward simple pleasures, while your Gemini child is quick-witted and has a short attention span. Some of your favourite activities, such as long naps and leisurely meals, bore restless little Gemini. But when you're both feeling playful, you have a wonderful time together. Your little one loves visiting friends and taking short trips to interesting places like the library. You're a wonderful grounding influence for your child, but do let him explore life at his own quick pace. He needs the stimulation of new ideas and experiences.

Scorpio Parent, Gemini Child

Making the adjustment
You and your Gemini child could hardly be more different, so you'll need to make some changes. Communication is where your little one comes into her own, so she might fill in the gaps in that area, but you must try to be open, accepting and accessible to her. She doesn't need the level of closeness that you do, but don't let that hurt your feelings. Instead of being very emotional, your little Gemini thrives on independence and mental stimulation. Give her plenty of toys, books and puzzles, and don't worry when she wants to play with every child in the park. That's just her lively, curious nature at work. Draw upon your own steady, self-aware side to let your child learn in a way that's best for her. Then you can be there whenever she needs a bit of emotional support.
