Did up her crib during my free time.....The cot is quite big, occupying almost half of my walk in wardrobe area.. All in my fav pink and white...

Then collected the Braun thermoscan bought online..bought at $78++ retail at $100++

Then the Medela Mini electric breastpump that sister in law, Celia was able to help me get in the Tangs Sale. Retail at $193.50. was able to get it at 15% +10% discount. damage at $148. tried it out, the motor is a tad bit noisy..hope I can put it to good use else rie gonna niam cos i eva told him i'm only gonna get breastpump after birth..haha but the discount is too good to miss!

And finally Sophie teether from France! bought online too at $35. so cute.. will give out a squeaky noise...fifi tot its her toy! so excited to play fetch w me! faintz....

Well..really deprived of sleep these days...slept v little, v light....i wonder will kirs be born at nite? keke...then there's this H1N1 cases..haiz..i guess nobody will visit me n kirs in the hosp then... sob sob..

37 weeks 2 days...

Yes, Kirs will be a June baby....

Today's checkup is normal..no shock no surprise... mummy lost weight thou, abt 200g and ur weight is abt the same leh...2.6kg.
Dilation remains the same at abt 1cm and dr Ang predict that u will not be out this week..phew...
Ur position is good! head down and facing my butt..not engagd yet.

Great that everything's fine and as planned, but on the other hand, mummy aint feeling good...sleepless nites..insomnia..pekchek easily... then feel like puking..poor appetite...
haiz..hope endure 2 more weeks and everything will be fine liao...

Mummy to Kirs...

Mummy cant get to slp since 530am. recieved an sms fr auntie Dawn Tan on the arrival of lil Klara! So happy for her...but nervous for Mummy. Lil Klara was supposed to be due on the 8th of June. She sees the world at her 37th weeks!

After reading the sms, Mummy was tinkin alot of wat ifs........Then i can sense ur movments... U were dancing inside. Silently Mummy was telling u to stay in n absorb all my nutrients till at least early June. I hope u'll be an obedient ger and heard me...Daddy was sleepin so soundly, mummy doesnt want to disturb him so i tok to u thru telepathy ya? hehe

Some of the forum mummies have popped! Its rather exciting to hear all the success stories....Now mummy's really gonna be brave and withstands the pain of labour..the time is drawing near..

Lets jus both jia you k? U'll be a healthy baby and i'll be a brave mummy!

Lazy Sunday ...

Yes the title explains it all... nothing much to do on a lazy Sunday, so decided to drag rie out to visit the Baby hypermart and Kingdom in Kaki bukit. Wanted to check out the brands and models of strollers....

Shortlisted the followings :

1. Maclaren Techno XT in grey n powder pink. 8kg!

2. Combi Urban Walker in pink. 6.5kg

3. Capella S228 in orangy red 6.5kg

After a round of hands on n enquiries, was debating btw the Combi n Capella. Finally decided on the capella bcos of the weight, price and compactness..a pity no pink thou...

Its a gift fr my bro n sis in law, Vince n celia...Lil kirs is so blessed!

Most of baby stuffs are ready..only left breast pump for mummy...which I'll kiv first b4 buying.

1 cm dilated...

Went to gynae this afternoon...wasnt expecting much..jus the usual scan, weight measurement, urine test etc. BUT I was wrong!

Told gynae abt my discomfort n pressure around the natal region and then he did a VE(vaginal examination erm if thats the correct term). Super uncomfortable! After which he announced that I'm 1 cm dilated! Prob due end May.... OMG! I'm so not ready lor! Nervous and confused...i duno wat to expect! Rie was happily grinning all the way ..asking doctor how to contact him, wat to do if i'm in pain etc....well, he'll jus be enjoying the fruit of labour cos he DOES NOT need to go thru labour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but seeing his innocent smile warms my heart..he is really happy to see our princess..

Anyways..I've come to terms with it...gained 2 kg over 4 weeks...600g goes to kirs.. so she's 2.6 kg now. Avg baby....Now I jus gotta be more careful and pay more attention to any discomforts...

Next appt 27th May..

OK, to shopping .....Inspired by Katty! I've bought beanies and hairbands online with interchangeable flower clips..but of cos she wins hands down! her collection is lots! mine is nothing compared to hers! haha

This week is so occupied! full of activities....

Sunday aka Mothers Day - Attended Linda & Louis s' wedding dinner @ Safra Jurong.

Monday - High tea @ Marriott with long time buddies, Joey n Doreen and also 2 sistas Shirley and Cleo. Lots of catching up and sharing of information. The food was quite nice. Ahh..forgot to take pix!

Tuesday - Meet up with June MTBs, Diddy n Katty. Had lunch @ Vivo Marche. Yakking away the whole afternoon sharing our experience and good buys...keke

Wednesday - Hubby off..so had lunch w him n mum. Also brought mum to the medicinal hall to purchase all the essential herbs for confinement, then to the supermarket to buy the vinegar needed for making the pigs trotters..everyone is gettin ready!

Thursday - A time for me to laze @ hm and update my blogs and check emails. Some time alone for mummy n kirs!

Friday - Visit to gynae @ approx 36 weeks...To be continued......

Eventful!

Yes! I'm officially a SAHM this week...Enjoying this newfound freedom b4 Kirs pops in abt 5 weeks time..I've the time to do my own stuffs now..own readings...meet up w frens...etc
but of cos, I'm toking more often to her inside my tummy now..I'm excited to grow with my lil kirs..seeing her accomplish diff tasks and monitor her developments in diff stages, dat will be my next mission!

I've loosen up, kicked away the blues..gonna muster all my energy n strength to enjoy wat life has in store for me..no more wallowing in self pity!

Collected the rest of the HK stuffs I've bought online today!..these r for moi..
A digital weighing scale to monitor my weight b4 n after birth. A calculator to do my maths rite and a keyboard brush to dust away the furries fr my furkids...

Later in the evening, me and rie are gonna do the 1st in our life! watch a concert!shh.. suaku rite..but well there's a first for everything...so I'm gonna watch my teen's time idol do their singing and dancing! okay..they r not jay chou or jolin tsai..but hey, I'm not like 18 nor 21..so gimme a break ya...kekeUpdates.....Pix of our virgin concert! The crowds are so high..well, I practically have to stand thruout the whole show! clap and sway to the beats.... Kirs must be enjoying too..cos she was dancing in my tummy!

Touching my 34th weeks today...

Feeling lousy...steppin further into the 3rd tri is like the ballooning of my belly n face...Other then that I feel bloated, dread my messy, uneven tone and wavy hairs... Jus seriously feel very unkept. Thou rie is very supportive. Assured me in every single ways that I still look good and desirable..haha.. BUT! I know what i see in the mirror..

Wonder if it's the prenatal jitteries....

Shoppin on Sunday doesnt really help...1st of all, i keep wearing the same old few maternity wear....yeeks! Seeing so many slim n trendy gers in town make me feel so "auntie" and plump...Ahhh the many sacrifices a mummy has to go thru...I wonder to myself "M i really ready?" Dats a selfish tot..no doubt abt it...but well..the commitments n responsilities are overwhelming! There'll be no more jus me n rie...it will be us! no freedom no splurging... Will i get my pre-preggie weight back? will I be able to go tour as n when i feel like it?Will i be able to go parties and dance like no tmr?all the will i be able to?

I need retail therapy!....yes..the little space tat belong to me dat i find consolation in....i splurge once again tinking to myself this will be the last bag b4 kirs comes out...adding to my collection, a Marc jacob ..heart it!

Celebrating My Day..

30th April....1 more year before I rch the big 3's...

No usual parties, no booze, no craziness...jus a simple steamboat dinner with the sistas n their partners at Thien Kee golden mile..


The cakes...yes a sinful choc fudge cake from rie by Jane's Cake Station, and a Boston choc cake from my lovely sistas...


Then its off to Target for some dart games and booze(for em), peach soda for moi.......

The lovely pressie, an Allerhand diaper bag in powder from my sistas.. check out the many compartments! Changing mat, bottle holder etc etc...wow!






And also my dearest rie for the DS lite in metallic rose..guess it'll come in handy during my confinement..and complete with my vanity, I bling it up with crystals and HK stickers, not forgeting a Hk pouch...

While I was taking pics of the diaper bag, fifi darling was lazing in bed..catching my attention..when my camera is turn towards her, she posed for me in her award winning stance.."the kangaroo stand"! haha
