25th April 2013 - Our 9th year together

This is an update again. Way passed and I'm jotting down for easy reference.

I received a bouquet of beautiful roses in office. Pleasant surprise! (err hem...this is the 2nd time he gave me flowers. I'm not taking the wedding bouquet into consideration. The 1st time was when he was still wooing me and it was my birthday.)

P.S : The content in the card was not from him. It was from the florist template. lol.. He's not a romantic....

We went to Manchester on the 2nd May 2013 together with Vince, Raymond and Eileen. To us it was considered a mini moon and a celebration of my birthday. We went there to watch a big match. Manchester United Vs Chelsea. But alas, Man U was already the champion of the season and they lost this match. Though disappointed that it was a lousy performance, but the ambience and feel was great. This was the last season of Alex Ferguson too, luckily we were able to catch a glimpse of him on the field.
We had fun renting a rover and did some road trips to the country side. Overall a great and different experience!

1 holiday and 2 funerals

We went to Bali on the 28/6. A couple trip with the rest of the sistas. We had it planned several months ago. Sadly....my grandmother passed away on the 29/6. We went back to SG on the 1st and fetch the kids to Ayer Tawar.

Then on the 2/7, Rie's grandmother passed away. Such coincidence.......Regrettably,  we can't attend Rie's granny funeral and were greatly sadden by the departure of all our loved ones. May they find a better place in heaven.. We will miss you both...

Sharing some pic of the Bali Villa. It is a 4 room 2 storey villa with a pool and jacuzzi.

A restaurant near our villa.

Kirsten is very shy and doesnt really blend in well at my Granny's wake, She is scared of the extended cousins and relatives. I do hope that she can overcme her fear and shyness soon. U can do it baby!

HongKong 19/5 - 23/5

Pumpkin's 1st oversea trip! Her and my many first....first time on plane, first time to Disney land, etc...

I tink she enjoyed herself very much. During the trip, I can see she was very enthusiastic and cheerful. And when she's back in Sg, she cried for a good 1 week when gg to school.
Whereas for me and Rie, it was tiring as most times, this lil rascal preferred to be carried (most of the time by me!) Rie banned our kids from overseas shopping and leisure trip until they are at least 5. As he felt that there are too many restrictions and both adult and kid will not enjoy to fullest. I agree to a certain extent, but turning back the clock, I still will choose to bring my da baobei along. =)

Major nightmares

1. Wailed for an hour during the 1st nite. Coax her by telling stories and stuff. (luckily, 1st nite only)
2. Carried her for almost half a day! like 70% of the trip
3. Threw tantrums in the plane when coming home. I guess is the timing. 8pm flight back. She was affected by the pressure and couldnt fall asleep. yet very sleepy. therefore = to cranky.

Things that I prep for her 1st trip

1. 40 x diapers (used about 35)
2. 1 x 900g enfa (finished)
3. 10 x sets of clothings
4. Medicine and oilments
5. Bibs
6. Fork and spoon and bowl
7. instant porridge for babies (never eat at all)
8. Snacks
9. bottles, thermals
10. Toiletries
11. 2 x pair of shoes
12. Pillow and blanket

Special thanks to all my bros and sisters during the trip, for helping with the stroller and being so patient. Couldnt have survived carrying a sleepy Kirs and running  for shelter in the rain without u peeps!

When I turn....beep beep 1...

As I get older..the need for a great bday bash is not in my wish list anymore. All I want is a contented dinner with my loved ones, a nice gathering n chilled out.

This yr, my bday fall in the period of the GE campaign. I wanted to watch the rally of WP at the Serangoon stadium. But the crowd was horrendous! Me and Cavis wasted a good 1 hr in the jam n decided to forgo it. We drove past the stadium though. It was like National day in Serangoon. Haha. We met up with rie shorly after and went to Bark cafe for a nice alfresco dinner.

After the dinner, we chilled out at my place n count down to my day with  lovely cupcakes from Sis Cavis, made lovingly from Patissier. It really looks too nice to eat. Too pretty!

A lovely Chanel shades from Sis and a Chanel timeless classic bag from Rie..Total bliss out. ..

Can you see mini me? lol
The sisters gave me a very nice birthday gift. I.e a 2d1n stay in Batam with all expenses paid! So off to Batam we went on my actual Bday. We went for shopping, spa n seafood. Not forgetting Rie hit 1st prize at 4D, wat a lovely way to end the perfect weekend!
Only dismay was I did nt spend it with my children. But nt to worry..there will be many more loving memories to come....

The Khoos, Tohs and Low-Tan...

Sisters ! less Cavis
The Ngs...

The Wongs...
The Khoos and Tans

Shirley's Batam fren who brought us around ..Great hospitality!

Note : This year G.E ended up with oppositions taking 6 seats, WP winning Hougang and Aljunied GRC. This marks a new political scene in Singapore where Foreign Minister George Yeo was forced to resign. Mr S.T Chiam lost Potong Pasir. Salute to Mr Chiam n WP for their great fight! I'm a non PAP supporter. =P
