National Day 2013

Singapore is 48! We went to Anchorvale CC to attend the National Day celebration in conjunction with My First Skool.

Guess wat! Klaire had a photo opportunity with our PM Mr Lee Hsien Loong and was feature in the Chinese Zao Bao!

 

Happy Birthday Singapore!

Rie ballotted for NDP rehearsal and we finally got it! 4 tics to the full dress rehearsal on 31st July 2011.

It wasn't the 1st time I attended NDP (I went during my JC times at the stadium). But this time is different as it is at Marina with all the skyscapers and significant landmarks in singapore, Rie, my mummy, Kirs and me attended the event. This is the 1st NDP they eva went.

Kirs was having slight fever and unwell dat day. Was so worried she couldnt stand the heat and humid and fuss. Luckily she was cooperative, but dun expect a bubbly her. So glad there were lots of happenings that distracted her from feeling miserable.

The water performance and the fireworks were fabulous! really left us in awe.....

We felt so patriotic dat day. Din manage to take pic of the event after the sun set, as I was busy with Kirs..but u bet the fireworks was really nice!

Fun Time at the Zoo!

We revisited the zoo on July 2011..(Since the last dismay on Oct 2010). Woah! Kirs was jus 16 mths and Klaire 2 mths old dat time!

This time round, the gers could appreciate the zoo more since they are 25 months and 11 mths old now.

Kirsten was fascinated by all the animals while Klaire was trying to figure out wats going on..lol..

The weather was hot and humid. The waterplay adds much to their delight!

Everything's falling into place now. I wanted to give Kirsten more time. I set half a yr for her to adapt to school. She kept crying at the doorstep when we send her. She will wail, koala hug me and kept repeating Mama,Mama....I can't bear to leave her too, but I just have to do it. Every morning, I went to work feeling lousy and felt I'm a lousy mother. BUT, I was met with a lovely surprise come just last week, exactly a month later after she attended school. She happily went in without any fussing! She even cooperates and opens her mouth to let the teacher checks for signs of HFMD. I was overjoyed. Even as the door closed and I peep through the window, I can see she was trying to remove her shoes and putting them in the designated spot in the cupboard. So determined and cute.. My girl has grown..

Klaire's eczema comes and go. She had four lil teeth now. Because of her itchy gum, she's drooling big time and she kept bringing everything and anything to chew. All these led to the rashes near her mouth. Poor lil apple.

We brought her for her 1st swim(like finally!) at Hard Rock Hotel (Thanks to sista cleo and family) and this lil girl really enjoys being in the water! she can float neatly with a neck float without struggling. Even as I guide her in the water, her legs will naturally kick backwards! amazing! Whereas, Jiejie(JJ) is super kiasi. We had to coax her for like 5 mins b4 she agrees to go in the pool. And she still doesn't dare to go near any splashing water that are meant for play. Lousy ya? Meimei(MM) is much better.. Way to go MM!

Went Qing Ming at CCK cemetry..All hot n sweaty and dunno where she's looking. But much improvement now as she will gladly gek a smile for photo taking these days..

November - Flea And Barney Show

Audace went to flea on the 3rd week of Nov at Home Club. Sales was ok..we had our 1st time!
Big thanks to Rie and my bro, for being the movers of the day. Special thanks to Rie, for spending the whole day helping us with the sale. Also thanks to sis June and bro Eric for dropping by to give us moral support.

Next on......We went to watch the Christmas Barney Show at United Sq with Cleo/Kyle and Genie/Dylan. This was the last outing I btought Kirs out before I start work on 6th of Dec. We thought there wouldn't be a crowd since it was a Thursday. But goodness gracious! The queue was horrendous! Nevertheless, we queued and watched the show. The kids were delighted.

After the Show, we went back to Mera Spring for Mummies gossip session..and kids bonding and toys session...lol

P.S : It was the 1st time I brought Kirs out in a cab.(Usually we have Daddy as chaffeur) And I flagged it on the street, not on call. Bravo!

Kirsten's 1st trip to Ubin

Accompanied my mum to Ubin for prayers on a weekday. Brought Kirsten along and it was her 1st boat ride. She felt a lil apprehensive and scared at 1st. But on the trip back, she's no longer afraid of the waves and motor sound. Great job!

It was really a hot day and Ubin sure has lotsa mozzies!(Pls do rem to bring along mosquitoes patches or spray on the repellent). They are really commandos!

We went to the Post Office at Sengkang branch to post some packages for Audace K.C... Lil Pumpkin's having fun running around since there's not many pple early in the morning.

Then its off to Ya Kun for some coffee and Loti while waiting for Gigi and the rest of our companions..

On the ferry, where she's afraid and unsure...

Finally we reached Ubin!
