Dear Kirsten & Klaire,

Mummy's been really busy...........

Now that Audace is up n going...Mummy's been busy sourcing for a shop front with Daddy for his maid agency. Daddy has more or less set his sight on a shop in Katong Shopping Center. It will be a Khoo family Joint Venture. Mummy has done her part by getting a license for employment agencies last year. Now its Daddy's turn to do his part. To do all the operations and set up and get the business going! Ideal Domestic Station should be coming ur way soon. Dear readers...Pls Support!!

After which..when godmummy is more free(she's very tied up w wrk rite now), we shall begin our another project. Joli Sparkles.. an online blogshop for handmade items for babies n kids..

Lets all Jiayou! Its really a busy n fulfilling yr for mummy!

Kirs darling is jiayou-ing (lol, if there's such word) by walking steadily now n exploring more n more new stuffs..I'm so happy and amused by her new patterns every now n then...

On the other hand, Klaire baby is also jiayou-ing by growing well. Mummy's feeling soreness at the pelvic region n have difficulty walkin wout feeling painful, so I've decided to visit the gynae today.

Review:

At 32 weeks. Klaire bb was breeched.
Today she has turned...well done baby!

Weighs 2.5kg.
Did V.E, not yet dilated. Still some time to go. Dr explained the soreness may be due to lower womb ( as this is my 2nd bb) or muscle stretching. So well..I just have to bear with it..

Next appt 6/8/10.

Klaire is 34 weeks!

As long as baby's of good wt, I tink I'm satisfied. She's pretty busy practising Taiji and dancing. Making me so uncomfy..cos the tummy is small, the movements seems to be real deep in..

Preparing her arrival :

Lots of things not done. Cos she's my 2nd baby and the gap's not far apart..lotsa things can be passed down. But still need to jot dwn the list of to dos, so that i wun forget.

Oh ya..recently been bz with walking Kirs (very bz walking here n there) and sourcing for her preschool. Still looking arnd cos she will only be gog when she reach 18 mths which is Jan 2011.

Also bz with Audace K.C. Audace by Kelly and Cavis is an online fashion blogshop dat's set up by me n Cavis. That explain the K.C. And Audace meant bold/daring in Italian.  So dear readers, do support us ya!

Destructive & Injury Prone...

Now that she's a toddler and no longer a baby.......She's getting more active n adventurous.

It breaks my heart to c her bruises n ba lu kus, but I guessed this is part n parcel of life...n I've to embraced it (though very unwillingly)

Jus yest, she's really a mess....so unglam...

1) there's a scratch mark on her nose bridge..

2) 2 mozzie bites on her left arm

3) she fell n her lower teeth cut her upper inner lip causing cut n blood to ooze..(can't take any pic as she wun allow u to peel open her mouth)

And on her destructive nature, she plucked out the T & Y keys fr rie's delly and so he has got a reason to buy a netbook...n YES, I'm using the stupid delly to blog now cos I couldn't log on to blogger using my dellyp. (I wonder y she dun pluck out the Z & X keys....T & Y are so commonly used!)

Touched 30 weeks this week...more symptons showing up..The pile's recovering, but the leg cramps begin...more bad tempered...not as patient towards Kirs anymore. Maybe because she's quite a handful now n my energy is draining fr the eva growing tummy n the more active Klaire baby kicking inside me.

Pregnancy Woes...

Entering my 3rd tri, the honeymoon is over! I'm suffering fr piles again! Yes...again..I had dat too wif  Kirs...

Its so painful it hurts! Make me suffer fr insomnia......

Being a google engineer, let me share with u wats piles gotta do with pregnancy?

What are piles?

Piles, or haemorrhoids, are often described as varicose veins in your bottom, and can be painful. There are several pad-like blood vessels in your anal canal. Your anal canal is the short tube that connects your back passage (rectum) with your anus. It helps you move your bowels by releasing mucus when you go to the loo.

The blood vessels can become swollen and may hang down during or after you've done a poo. You may be able to feel them as small, soft lumps just inside or around the edge of your bottom.

Why do pregnant women get piles?

When you're pregnant, the volume of blood circulating round your body increases. At the same time, high levels of the hormone progesterone relax the walls of your blood vessels.

The veins below your uterus (womb) are more likely to become swollen and stretched, as the weight of your growing baby puts pressure on them. This is why you're more prone to piles and varicose veins when you're pregnant. Constipation, another pregnancy bugbear, can also cause piles.

Piles are very common during pregnancy. If you have had them before you became pregnant, you may get them again. Plenty of women, though, have them for the first time while they're pregnant. Piles probably affect about one in 10 women in their third trimester. (I'm so SUAY! the 10%!)

Can I avoid getting piles?

Yes. Although piles are common in pregnancy, they're not inevitable. Your best tactic is to make sure that you don't become constipated, so that when you do a poo it is quick and easy.

• 
  
  Eat a high-fibre diet, including wholemeal bread, pasta and brown rice, and plenty of fruit and vegetables. - Totally explains it..I'm not a fan of vege nor fruits....Zzzz
• Drink between six and eight glasses of water day, so you don't become dehydrated. - OK, i dun like to drink water cos I hate visiting the loo dat often
• Try to exercise regularly, even if you only have the time and energy for a short, brisk walk. - I did try swimming n climbing stairs whenever I can..N of cos Shopping = walking!
• Go to the loo straight away when you get the urge. Waiting can make your poo harder and drier. - I do dat, I dun wait...
• Try putting your feet up on a stool when doing a poo. It may make opening your bowels easier. - Who the hell do dat?

How can I treat piles?

•  Take warm baths to ease the itching and pain. Resist scratching your bottom, as it can make things worse.
• Use a cold compress, such as an ice pack, to relieve the pain around your bottom.
• Gently and thoroughly clean the affected area after you've done a poo. Wiping with moist toilet wipes can be more comfortable than using toilet tissue. Patting rather than rubbing dry is best.
• Try pushing the piles gently back into your rectum with a clean finger when you are having a bath or in the shower.

On a brighter note, visited gynae today at 28 weeks...Naughty Klaire baby..can't get any good scan again cos she's facing me (means looking at my spine)..Hmm shall wait for next visit! Baby's at a good wt of 1.1kg, mummy 55kg.

Dr Ang commented u have a long pair of legs when he took measurements...well the sonographer said dat too during ur detail scan..

See the Femur Length, you overshot the scale! Long legs beauty? Mummy certainly hopes so!

20 weeks..

Currently at 20 weeks for #2. Went for my detail scan...Alls well and its cfm a ger!

We r wreaking our brain for a nice name for the lil one. as of now, Keira Khoo Ke Er...of cos, still open for more options n choices.

Kirs 1 year is coming..I'm planning a Hello Kitty themed 1st Party for her.Currently narrow dwn n decided the follwings;

1. Hello K Cake fr Pine Garden
2. Party decor fr Kidzpartystore
3. Neo Garden Cathering.
4. Party date - 6/6/10
5. Party venue - home sweet home

Also planned her 1st year photography to be taken on 25th May by Sean Lau PG, www.seanlau.com. lotsa plannin n sourcing b4 i decided all these. Best part is I enjoy doin it! So excited n thrilled to plan smething for my Da baobei...After the arrival of Xiao baobei, i need to recuperate. Simple bb shower again...and I shall then again plan the 1st party for my xiao bb! wahahaha...

Pumpkin's update. She's actively clappin n bye byeing. Now learning pointing and shaking her head. weirdest thing is we nvr taught her those at all! Smetimes she's like aggressivly shaking like estasy like dat. haha
Oh n she loves callin Mama mamamamama..though she started with papapapa first....so happy! wonder she knows she's callin me anot.lol..She also wean off sarong herself n is nw sleepin in playpen n cot. sweet!

She had a fell fr bed few weeks ago..bruised at the side near the right eye. so heart pain..luckily the blue black gone in few days..guess I have to start bracing myself for all this kinda "accidents" in time to come...

To Do List

So many things to do for the upcoming CNY, but jus can't be bothered to start wrking on it...
but well, it has been better, I've done some..keke

TO DO LIST B4 CNY :

1) Bring Pumpkin for a haircut - done!
2) Bring Pumpkin to take a passport photo - done!
3) Apply for Pumpkin's passport - done!
4) Bring Cash for grooming
5) Buy CNY decorations for hse
6) Buy CNY groceries
7) Buy CNY new clothes for me and pumpkin and rie - half done
8) Buy a new bedsheet
9) Instruct Rini to do spring cleaning
10) Change new notes for angbaos

Not feeling much mood for this yr, maybe its due to my MS (yes jac u r rite! i'm 2nd time preg!but still nt 12 weeks...so shant elaborate jus yet.)

Have to go back Msia dad in law kampong on Chu 1 to bring pumpkin see her great grandma..i foresee it'll be damn tiring...cos its back n forth in 1 day. 2-3 hrs ride in car (1-way)

Fifi's been puking today..4 times! poor baby, wonder wats wrong w her? lets hope its jus a case of indigestion..she seems fine, still as greedy and active. aint like me..pukin n walkin ard like a zombie...hurhur..

Pumpkin's more vocal, experimenting with the sounds she made. and she's squealing n giggling! love it! She's a gift...and the #2 in my tummy too.....hugs n kisses...

Hospital Bill Size and Updates...

Kirs is 1 week 3 days old.. her umblical cord dropped on exactly at 1 week after her birth! She's peeling too...They said its normal cos she's growing up n changing her skin..(like snake?)


Then the blisters on her left index finger is recovering! We were so worried when we saw the blisters at birth. Wonder isit any abnormality? PD told us the blisters were due to baby sucking her fingers in my womb and will recover. So no worries.... I was tinkin..Alamak..Maybe I ate too much KFC when I was having her..then she's like "finger lickin good?" Muahahahahahahaha





Progress on Mummy herself....

Had my postnatal massage for 3 consecutive days oredi...the 1st day was shiok and rejuvenating..but after a few days of rubbing on the same muscles..it's quite painful wor...The jamu herbs really heat up and I always feel so hot after massage. The herbs are said to expel wind in my uterus and flush away blood clots. The massue, Mdm Suriyah, is very kind and she shared with me wat to eat to increase milk flow and wat food to avoid if I'm gonna carry on breastfeeding. And yes, it is super uber painful when she massage my blocked milk ducts!

I've cleared another 1 kg..so 6 more kgs to shed!
Confinement is really about sleep, eat, milk, rest and sweat... the weather is damn horrigible and yet I've got to withstand the heat n sweat it out.... Seriously, I felt unkept and irritable.. But wat to do... They always say is for my own good... only 1 week gone..3 more weeks? Damn ....


And Fifi is such a dear... She understands that there are changes in the family now. She doesnt disturb Kirs (only the occasional sniffing thou). She will silently watch us when I'm breastfeeding or jus bochup and sleep. Cashie boy on the other hand, barks when Kirs cry... dunno is he trying to be helpful or wat... ie. To inform us Kirs baby is crying or to tell us Kirs baby's cries is irritating .... well i choose to believe the former...kekekeke

Yes, Kirs will be a June baby....

Today's checkup is normal..no shock no surprise... mummy lost weight thou, abt 200g and ur weight is abt the same leh...2.6kg.
Dilation remains the same at abt 1cm and dr Ang predict that u will not be out this week..phew...
Ur position is good! head down and facing my butt..not engagd yet.

Great that everything's fine and as planned, but on the other hand, mummy aint feeling good...sleepless nites..insomnia..pekchek easily... then feel like puking..poor appetite...
haiz..hope endure 2 more weeks and everything will be fine liao...

And the waiting continues....

Mummy to Kirs...

Mummy cant get to slp since 530am. recieved an sms fr auntie Dawn Tan on the arrival of lil Klara! So happy for her...but nervous for Mummy. Lil Klara was supposed to be due on the 8th of June. She sees the world at her 37th weeks!

After reading the sms, Mummy was tinkin alot of wat ifs........Then i can sense ur movments... U were dancing inside. Silently Mummy was telling u to stay in n absorb all my nutrients till at least early June. I hope u'll be an obedient ger and heard me...Daddy was sleepin so soundly, mummy doesnt want to disturb him so i tok to u thru telepathy ya? hehe

Some of the forum mummies have popped! Its rather exciting to hear all the success stories....Now mummy's really gonna be brave and withstands the pain of labour..the time is drawing near..

Lets jus both jia you k? U'll be a healthy baby and i'll be a brave mummy!

1 cm dilated...

Went to gynae this afternoon...wasnt expecting much..jus the usual scan, weight measurement, urine test etc. BUT I was wrong!

Told gynae abt my discomfort n pressure around the natal region and then he did a VE(vaginal examination erm if thats the correct term). Super uncomfortable! After which he announced that I'm 1 cm dilated! Prob due end May.... OMG! I'm so not ready lor! Nervous and confused...i duno wat to expect! Rie was happily grinning all the way ..asking doctor how to contact him, wat to do if i'm in pain etc....well, he'll jus be enjoying the fruit of labour cos he DOES NOT need to go thru labour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but seeing his innocent smile warms my heart..he is really happy to see our princess..

Anyways..I've come to terms with it...gained 2 kg over 4 weeks...600g goes to kirs.. so she's 2.6 kg now. Avg baby....Now I jus gotta be more careful and pay more attention to any discomforts...

Next appt 27th May..

OK, to shopping .....Inspired by Katty! I've bought beanies and hairbands online with interchangeable flower clips..but of cos she wins hands down! her collection is lots! mine is nothing compared to hers! haha

First glimpse of her...

Visited the gynae on the 17th April. Suppose in my week 31 and 4 days.

Baby's at a good weight of approx 2kgs and this time round, doc confirmed that my placenta position has moved up! able to go for natural birth..phew and relief!

Whereas for me...Ive gained 2 kgs over 4 weeks...making me having a net increase fr 48kgs to 57kgs. A total gain of 9 kgs!
Has confirmed to deliver at Mt Alvernia and gog for single bedder. The hosp's really efficient! 1 day later, they sms me dat booking is confirmed and another day later, wala...they sent me all the brochures and pre-admission form!

What excites both me and Rie was the complimentary 3D scan that we had..............
