Playtime!

Now she's starting to make small noises like ohhs and ahhs....coos coos n gaas gaas.. so cute!

More awake in the day...and refuses to slp. Sometimes can get so cranky and cries till so cham till i really dunno wat to do. Tried all means n ways to coax her..but to no avail...

On the brighter side, hers eyes r focusing more clearly, and can follow objects!

Injection @6weeks

Brought her for her 2nd dose Hep B injection last wed... It was jabbed into her left thigh...the moment it went in, blood gushed to her face and she was wailing helluva time!! so heartpain...

My girl, u must be brave..this is only the 1st of many jabs that u have to go thru... U must be stronger for the jabs will make ur immune system better.... next time mummy must rem to take camera..hehe.. so bad..catch u @ ur bad time.. oh, and she weighs 4.44kg at 6 weeks..

Then we let her slp in sarong liao aka yaolan... she tends to slp on her right side and the older folks comment that the head will be flat on that side.. I oso realise her head is nt as round.. so let her slp in it so as to hope for a rounder head and sounder slp..hehe

Can u believe it????? looks so auntie!! wahahahhahaha......so ur head of hair is inherited fr daddy....but dun worry..mummy wun let u become a member of Jackson 5..hehehehe And the other is mummy at 1 yr old......so demure and cheena rite...wahahahaha

Sunday family outing!

Yesterday was our 1st Sunday family day...We visited yeye and nainai in woodlands... mummy and daddy wants to make it a point for us to go their hse once every weekend so dat yeye n nainai can have a fairshare of bonding with u...

Yeye and nainai were so thrilled to c u...U r like the apple of everyone's eyes...Wonder will u be a spoilt brat next time? Daddy was telling me he wun let it happen! he will nt buy u toys n presents for no apparent reasons...and if u scream and cry in public to get attention, he will jus ignore u.....hhahaha.....but well......

He failed the Daddy test!

Cousin Gina's son Zhiheng(2 yrs) was with us and we went grocery shoppin at supermarket...he took ribena sweets and m&m chocolates and gave it to nainai to put in the basket. Daddy saw and ask him "who say u can buy sweets har?" "Give me the sweets.". As soon as zhiheng pass daddy the sweets.....he wailed loudly and grabbed onto auntie tracy! refusing to look at Daddy! hahahha ....daddy was so shocked cos he was only teasing him and didn't expect dat kind of reaction fr zhiheng. He quickly said in a very coaxing way "Harna harna dun cry la, jokin la..buy la..i buy for u ok?" ultimately he gave in to the power of crying! haha...if u cry next time..wonder hw will he react? like the stern daddy he claim he will be? or the I give u everything u want daddy? wahahahahah...............

Overall, u r a good ger yesterday...slept soundly on our journey to n fro...only the occassional fussing at hm due to hunger n pooing....

Mummy forgot to pack in desitin cream and telon oil..other then that..ur barang is complete. hope I can handle u alone soon...then i can bring u shoppin and tea with mummy's frens!

P.S : Nowadays she can dun poo for 1 whole day!

1 Month Old!

Kirs is officially 1 month old today! Her baby shower was held successfully last Sunday..Din have the time to blog as i was runnin a fever last few days...
Today's the last day of my confinement! yeah!Gonna bring her out later to deliver some cakes to frens later....

We are truly blessed...recieved lots of beautiful gifts, ang baos n well wishes from relatives n frens for the birth of my lil girl. The list is long.... so West and I sincerely thank all for ur generousity and kindness...

During my hosp stay, lotsa hampers were recieved! I benefitted from the many tonics and Kirs baby has more chio chio new clothes and accessories!

My ex company, Paet Engineering bought a playpen! now placed in my mom's room..so Kirs can slp there in the nite.

Back at home, we have more visitors and more gifts.....

Uncle Chuan and auntie Jasmine are gog USA to work for 2 yrs. Leaving mth end so cant attend her baby shower. So they got her a fisher price toy in advance!

Uncle Patrick was back home for the last weekend and gotta go back to M'sia to work. Cant attend the baby shower too. So he got Kirs more clothes!

Auntie Cavis painstakingly did hairbands, clippies and bibs for Kirs..100% handmade!

Rie's colleague, Micheal gave Kirs a pendant...

My Mom, Wai Po, bought Kirs an anklet and a necklace..

I hereby wana thank Rie too, for his moral support and love..Thou he cant help much in the general duties of taking care of Kirs, he is here for us and tries his best to do what he can. He forgo MOST (not all) of his leisure times, and just stay hm or runs errands for us. During this vulnerable period...his plain existence means alot to me..it means I have someone to rely on and cheer me on when i feel low....Thanks Rie, I lub u..muacks...

Last but not least, I wana thank my MOM!

She's the best mom in the world! helping me to do confinement and taking care of the lil one....it has been ages since she take care of a newborn and she's trying and learning. On top of that, she needs to take care of my meals and well being. And worse of all, I'll throw tantrums at her.. cos she'll remind me to drink chix essense, bird's nest n dom everyday... i find it nagging and always try to siam...When I cant bathe and have to eat and do the same routine everyday, I'm easily irritable and jus likes to retort back whatever things she asks me.... When she sees me..its always " Want to eat anything?" I know she meant well..and tinkin back, I feel real real guilty..

Actually I'm very fortunate, cos bb slps w her in the nite. She has to wake up in the middle of the nite to give her nite feeds while I can have ample rest and can slp thru out the nite.. She's really more tired then I am....

And because newton's store is shorthanded, sometimes she still help out in the weekend. When she comes back in the wee hours, she still cant slp in peace cos Kirs will be brought to her room, and any crying means she gotta wake up and attend to her...The things she did for me are too long to list.....but it sets me tinking....

A mom's love for her child is so generous n kind. Thanks Mommy, I lub u...I hope I can be a great mommy like u too...

Progress, Kirs @ 2 weeks old...

I've passed the half of my confinement ordeal! 2 more weeks to go!

Progress of Kirs,

1. In general she's a good baby..drinks her milk n get back to slp..

2. She drinks abt 90ml (3 oz) now. Meanin I have to keep pumping to meet her demand..thou sometimes supplement with formula.

3. She is very awake and likes to explore after her bath time..abt 11am to 1pm and also at nite 11pm to 1am sometimes 2am...very shag cos mummy wana slp! Lucky I got my mummy and rini to help me...keke

4. I dun latch her that often now, cos she will get sleepy after 1 side..and then refuse to latch the other side. Then cant gauge how much she consumed. Quite sad...

5. She's a real sucker...I need to introduce her to pacifier...

Progress of Mummy,

1. no more soreness for me. Now i can move with ease...

2. Menses stop...

3. Still adjusting to breastmilk, breastmilk and more breastmilk!

4. Bonding with Kirs aint strong yet..cos my mummy n rini help me do most of the work..
